We do not charge you for starting a campaign on this platform. 

However, to cover operating costs, we have to charge 5% to the donors for each transaction

You can also utilize Kitafund’s advertising tools to reach more audience and draw in more donations.

 

What Should I Do to Attract Donations As A Campaigner? #

To successfully attract donations from your immediate environment, start by leveraging your personal network. This involves reaching out to family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances who may be interested in supporting your campaign. Personal connections are often the most responsive and probably the ones who are willing to contribute to your campaign. These are things that you can do to attract donations:

Kitafund offers a fundraising publicity service to help spread awareness about medical-related campaigns using social media advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. Advertising your campaign will help you get donations faster, which leads to quicker treatment and recovery. The advertising service typically runs for around 1 month.

 

Will The Donation Target Be Reached During The Promotion with Ads Period? #

While this advertising service helps campaigns reach a wider audience, Kitafund does not guarantee that donation targets will be met, as success depends on the clarity of the visuals, storytelling, and how well the campaign resonates with potential donors. Yet we are committed to doing our best to increase the chances of reaching your fundraising donation target through promotion with ads.

 

How Much Is The Campaign Promotion with Ads Fee? #

Currently, advertising costs for campaigns on Kitafund are covered by donors. We let donors understand how their contributions are utilized and allocated in each campaign. Thus, donors are made aware of this through the budget plan displayed on the campaign page as follows:

Can I Still Disburse The Fund If The Donation Target is Not Met? #

Yes. If the donation target isn’t reached during the publicity period, the campaigner can still disburse the funds that have been collected.

 

What Requirements That Must Be Fulfilled for My Campaign to Be Promoted with Ads? #

To be eligible for our advertising service, there are several requirements:

  1. If the campaigner is:
    • Personal/individual, the campaign must focus on medical or health-related category, and both the campaigner’s account and medical documents need to be verified by Kitafund
    • NGO, the campaign can be in both medical and non-medical category, and both the campaigner’s account and medical documents need to be verified by Kitafund
  2.  Willing to be contacted by Kitafund’s Optimization Team and sign the Statement Letter that will be sent if your fundraising campaign meets the criteria.
  3. Possesses supporting factors that add value to the success of the fundraising publication, such as:
    • An informative and inspiring story.
    • Has at least 5 (five) high-resolution photos from different angles.

Why am I being extra charged for my contribution? #

This platform charges 5% (excluding charges incurred by Payment Gateway) for each transaction.

We will use this 5% charge to cover the costs involved in running and expanding this business.
